13th FAI European Microlight Championships Declared Open !

For the third time in history, Poland is hosting an FAI Category 1 event for microlights. On Saturday 15 August, the 13th FAI European Microlight Championships were declared open at Kruszyn Airfield in Wloclawek, some 200 km northwest of Warsaw. Teams from 11 nations are competing in 4 valid classes for the title of European champion.

After the speeches of the President of the local aeroclub, a representative from the local government and the secretary of the Polish Aeroclub, Jury President Wolfgang Lintl concluded the opening ceremony by declaring the competition open.

Until Sunday 23 August, all 64 pilots and copilots will fly tasks for precision, navigation and fuel economy.
