After 4 tasks Peter Song (USA) leads Sport Class Overall, Italy is first in Nations Overall
The 3rd FAI World Hang Gliding Class Sport Championships are underway in Laveno Mombello, Italy. Four valid tasks have been flown, and two more are expected. This time, the weather in Laveno is challenging and demands excellent technique. The main difficulty is flying fast, even with weak thermal activity.
US pilot Peter Song currently leads the ranking. It is remarkable to see that two women pilots - Thaise Galvan (BRA) and Katia Bruni (ITA) are in the top 10 of the overall Sport Class ranking.
