I warmly welcome you, on behalf of the City of Vantaa, to the 119th FAI General Conference. Vantaa is a well-known and award-winning global aviation city.

Vantaa is home to the Helsinki-Vantaa international airport and Finland's main gateway to the world. The airport area is the economic engine for Vantaa and Finland. It constitutes the main logistics centre, as well as the second largest workplace hub in our country. The airport, our global residents and businesses make Vantaa the most international city in Finland.

The airport is situated in the Aviapolis area, where the national aviation museum of Finland can also be found. At the museum, we get to learn about aviation history and to hear about the progress of the new aviation museum project.

Aviation has been building connections between people for decades. The coming conference will again bring together people who share a passionate relationship with flying. It is important to, once again, come together to celebrate achievements and plan the future of aviation sports.
