2026 PG XC Euro and Junior Worlds will take place in Krushevo
CIVL Plenary 2024 has approved the 18th FAI European Paragliding Championships to be held in Krushevo, North Macedonia. The proposed dates of the main championship are August 5-17, 2026. And for the test event - July 6-12, 2025. Organized by a team that has all the expertise and experience of the Paragliding World Cup, this event is also supported by the local administration, the major of Krushevo, the NAC of North Macedonia, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Tourism, and Government Agency for Civil Aviation.
Krushevo, and Pelagonija Valley, on average have 90% of taskable days and the most reliable paragliding weather on the planet. Flight Area will be free from Airspaces of any kind. The place is familiar to the majority of the pilots due to a great number of International XC competitions running on this site for decades.
The organizers have also submitted a letter of intent to host the 2nd FAI World Paragliding Junior Championships back-to-back with Europeans, which was also approved by the Plenary. It was said that the requirements to bid may be revised after the 1st Junior Worlds will be held later this year. So the Plenary confirmed the place, the organiser, and the dates and tasked the Bureau to finalise the bid details once the first experience in holding Junior Worlds is obtained.
